The room was fair enough. However it had a strong chloride smell like the swimming pool. I don't know if it's because of the cleaning agent they use. The bathroom doesn't have a vent to help get rid of the smell, and the window in the bathroom is locked.

If I could give them a 0/10 I would. We haven’t even stayed but their customer service is the absolute worst. We booked our stay thru Expedia and it said reserve now pay later. Well I got a call from the lodge and they said they needed a $250 deposit in order for us to keep our booking. I explained to them what Expedia said and they told me there was nothing they could for me and then hung up. Don’t recommend booking a stay. They provide false advertising & the customer service is the worst. I was more than happy to provide them my card to them but I told them it was very misleading that they require a $250 deposit but on Expedia it allowed me to book it without the deposit.

I would absolutely stay here again! Beautiful location. Plenty of space and amenities in and out of the room. The hosts went above and beyond to make the stay nice and ensure we had everything. My friends’ kids came to hang one day and they offered putters for the putting green and to turn on the fire pit and provide s’more makings.

We had such a great stay here! We checked in around 6pm and Liam was the gentleman at the front desk. Liam was fantastic!!! He is so animated and energetic! He told us all about the property, where the beach access was, and free coffee and tea in the mornings! The property was really nice. There is a putting green, ping pong, pool and sauna, a beautiful fire place with complimentary s'mores. Samantha checked us out the next more and she was super friendly. We cannot wait to come back in the spring/summer time!Please make sure to grab your coffee or tea in the morning and head down to the beach. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! So peaceful and relaxing.

The rustic feel and look is very nice. Staff is personable & friendly. It's quiet & the location is great. We could see Tahoe from our room. Price is very reasonable. The only thing we would suggest is getting the carpet cleaned or replaced. It's really a great place though.

Charming old lodge. The rooms have been remodeled all with modern amenities. Rooms are clean and spacious. The grounds are really nice with a beautiful lawn area, fire pit, hot tub, pool (closed in the winter), ping pong. The beach is just across the street, easy access. Good restaurants and a grocery store close by. We look forward to staying here again.

This was our third visit to Cedar Glen Lodge. Previously we have stayed in the larger rooms at the rear of the property. This was our first stay in the smaller studio cabins near the front of the property. While the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, it was a bit cramped for two people on an extended stay.Our interactions with Liam at the front desk were very positive. He was friendly, knowledgable about the local area and efficient. When we had a tv problem, he coordinated with the cable company to come out to the hotel and promptly resolve the issue. Other hotel staff whose names were didn’t get, were equally friendly and accommodating.No maid service is provided during stays, but extra towels and coffee, etc, are available at the front desk.On previous visits, a continental breakfast was included in the hotel stay. Breakfast has been ended with the change in hotel ownership. That’s a net minus as far as we were concerned. Coffee, fruit, and pastries in the morning would set Cedar Glen apart from other hotels in the area.Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Cedar Glen Lodge. I think we would opt for a larger room on our next visit, and will stock up on breakfast items and snacks for our stay.

We had the best time at Cedar Glen Lodge! We loved the fire pit and s’mores, the hot tub, and the homey feel of the lodge. Sean was a great host, and we even got upgraded to a better room because our door was defective! Will definitely be staying here again the next time I visit Lake Tahoe.

This is such a lovely place! We had a room in the back of the property with a great view of the little garden and a bit of the lake. It's very close to the lake and easy access to the beach. The cabins were more than just cabins. They had everything you needed to cook a meal. The location was greatIt is right across the street from Lake Tahoe. The kids loved cooking hot dogs over the firepits and lived the smores. Geraldine was amazing as was Charles. They even have a laundry room to do your laundry. There is an additional charge if you leave dirty dishes and do not put them away. Check your dishes before u use the as the last person using our cabin did not clean them well. Some cobwebs on the porch. Otherwise, perfect!

I spent two nights and almost a third, as it was a really great location. It is in a quiet area a couple of miles west of Kings Beach main drag, and close to the Safeway and, very easy drive from I-80. The service is what really stood out. The men who worked the front desk went out of their way to help me, once opening the pool so I could get some ice, and offering me again the next day, for my cooler in the car. The layout gives a bit of a lake view, but most visitors will find a nearby beach for the real deal. The bigs were a bit firmer than I like but the rooms were clean and everything worked. Loved the tub after a long steep hike on Rose Knob Peak.

Excellent place to stay!!My wife and I enjoyed it and are making plans to visit again during the winter.The pool was kept warm and the jacuzzi was nice and hot. The fire pit was lit nightly and was perfect to sit around while talking to neighbors and having a nightcap.Liam was a perfect host and let us know about the property’s beach across the street along with other vital information about nice restaurants and wildlife concerns.

Such a great stay, all of the staff was very kind and helpful with my pre-wedding jitters emails and checking in.We didn't get to enjoy the late night s'mores due to our own poor planning but look forward to it on our next trip.Had a great morning the next day with their complementary coffee bar and the short walk to our own private entry to Lake Tahoe.Honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. The jet tub in our room was great, I only lasted about 5mins before I was ready to hit the hay with how relaxed I was.Thank you so much Cedar Glen!!!

Hello everyone, The lodge is in great location to discover the North side of the lake, when you get there, the reception is going to be next to the entrance, left side, so drive up and park next to the big building ahead, when you get the keys, you will be told about your room number and then you park your car at the Designated spot, numbers are shown on the ground, we were told by the receptionist that not to leave any food in the car as bears might get excited and get into the car to help themselves. the lodge is woody and very cozy, it has a coffee maker and fridge, it’s clean and comfortable, you can fire up woods outside and grill your meats, sit there and enjoy the facility to the maximum, it was very nice experience, started with the receptionist and ended with a musical sounds of the birds.

Comfortable, rustic looking, but clean and well furnished room. The view was gorgeous from the spacious deck just outside our door and from our room. Deeded lake front access just a few minutes across the road. The bed was excellent. Exceptional small touches like real glass wine/water glasses and china coffee cups in the room. Lovely stay and location! We found it to be cozy, comfortable and kid friendly. The pool and hot tub are a nice touch, the fire pit and s’more’s are great, and location is super convenient.The only complaint I have is the floors were dirty. Need a good scrub before each guest as kids couldn’t run barefoot inside without having black feet.

Upon check in the cabin was spotless! The people who work this lodge are all helpful and accommodating. Shawn (hope it’s spelt right) was really awesome helping us with anything that was needed. Pool & hot tub are kept up & clean. 10/10Plenty of food options around. The beach access was rather small but still nice and a quick walk across the street.

We stayed in #7 for 4 nights and enjoyed it. This cabin had the bathroom remodeled but not the kitchen which is need of an upgrade. I would recommend staying in #15 or in a unit that's been remodeled. Location is OK but know you'll need to drive to restaurants and parks. Would highly recommend the East Shore Trail.

We loved it! It is a relatively small complex but super cute, clean and very well maintained, they treated us in a spectacular way when we arrived, it is great to be able to choose a suitable cabin for each family or person who arrives! Everything is very equipped!It has a pool and jacuzzi, a games area such as ping pong and mini golf, a fire pit, and the beach is walking distance.We chose a cabin with two bedrooms and it was decorated very beautifully, we loved everything! We will definitely return!

We stayed in the 455 SQ ft cabin, which was fully furnished and well-maintained, with everything needed for cooking. The staff demonstrated exceptional kindness by lending us a tong when they saw my husband barbecuing. Comfort is paramount at this establishment! However, I was disappointed that the plumber who fixed the shower head did not clean the tub, leaving visible shoe marks.

Charles and Geraldine were awesome and helped make our stay incredible. There’s EV charging that’s decently fast. Coffee and tea served in the mornings so you can grab something warm and walk to the lake across the street.The Tony fireplace was cute and cozy and did a good job warming our cabin. Full size kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and oven.There was a TV in the living room and bedroom. Nice.There’s a bear that roams the area but if you need to park just honk and they’ll move away. Very cool. Very Tahoe.

I reaaaaally want to give the hotel a great review because it has so much potential and the people were so great. We sat down at the fire and someone noticed so they brought us a s'mores bag. Thanks!However, there were just too many misses that added up: blankets weren't in the room for the pull out, when asking for 2 mugs for hot chocolate "they are on order", microwave was burned out, spa was closed inexplicably without a sign, etc.With a little bit of love this could be a super cute cabin experience.

Dear Fellow Travelers, I just got off the phone with Charlie (March 22) and I am absolutely amazed and still have tears in my eyes because of his kindness and understanding. Originally I had made reservations in Dec 2024, but my friend who would be joining me from Hawaii couldn't make it so Shawn moved the reservation for April 16, 17, 18th. The same friend can't make it in April either so I asked if i could get my deposit back. He replied "No problem"! When has anyone refunded a deposit?!!! I can't wait to someday stay at Cedar Glenn Lodge (and my daughter may want to have her bachelorette party here), and with the kindness and understanding they have shown me I plan to make the trip very soon. They have dog-friendly cabins so i may just make the trip with my cocker spaniel "Honey"!!

The staff at this lodge are the VERY BEST. Charlie, Sean and Liam were so kind. They were ready to assist with anything my husband and I needed. We were snowed in with no transportation and they told us about TART and gave us suggestions on restaurants. Charlie scraped ice off our car so it wouldn’t be a travel hazard for us once we left after the weather cleared up. The cabin was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi on our cabin bathroom was so relaxing. We plan to become regular guests there to celebrate our wedding anniversary each year. Thank you for a memorable stay !

The room was great! We are a little confused with the service… Charlie at the front desk was SO nice and gave us so many warm recommendations. When we came back from dinner on our final night we were so excited to have a quick hot tub and smores (as mentioned by Charlie until 10pm). We jumped out of the hot tub at 9, rushed to the room to shower and redress, and came out at 9:20 to find a dark front office and no fire pit. We were awkwardly turned down by someone else at the front office who was extremely rude. The property maps say this is all open until 10p? At first we loved this place but we’re now pretty disheartened and will probably stay somewhere else. We wish Charlie all the best - thank you - but the other person was extremely uncomfortable and rude.

This was such a quaint and cozy spot. The cottage was perfect and spacious. Charlie at the front desk went above and beyond during our stay. He even made me a pot of coffee at 9:30 at night, eventhough I could have made my own in the room. Every time I needed anything, he was literally at my beck and call. His customer service is top notch and you have a true gem working there. (Give this guy a raise)! He was a one man team checking in guests to a sold out hotel, while stillbeing able to accommodate the guests needs. The facility was clean and well maintained. It was quiet and peaceful and in walking distance to everything. Beach access was right across the street and the hot tub was super relaxing. The sound of the wind chime at the front is a beautiful addition. We will definitely be back.

These guys are so awesome and experts at running a hotel. The GM is super friendly and cares so much about the people that stay here and it shows! Definitely want to come back. The quality of the indoor facility is top-notch and it was very very clean as well. Perfect vacation spot! I loved the cabin!! It was cozy and had everything that we needed for sleeping and cooking. They have a fire pit to roast marshmallows (complimentary). BBQ is great for grilling; be aware the bear might come out, but they have a thing to scare it away. It is close to the beach and nature. Lovely spot.

I had a stellar experience at Cedar Glen Lodge. If you're reading this and on the fence about booking, consider this to be your green light. ✅✅✅✅✅First of all, the location is great in terms of proximity to activities / natural beauty. The property had an electric car charger (both Tesla NACS and J1772) which is super helpful when you're doing road trips in an EV. There is also designated parking which makes things hassle free. On the way to my room, I remember seeing a stack of board games which I felt was thoughtful.Coming to the rooms themselves, they're pretty, comfy, and well maintained. The room I was in had that fun, positive, and rustic vibe which made my stay enjoyable. While slightly on the smaller side, it was big enough to be comfortable, and the size kind of added to the 'coziness' of this place. I appreciated the heater and the nice view from the window as well. I also liked that I was given my space and privacy until I asked for something.One of the highlights of my stay was using the hot tub on a cold winter morning, while looking at the tall trees, fresh snow, and breathing in the fresh air. It felt so relaxing, and made me feel like I was "taking in" Tahoe. The staff member obliged to open it up slightly earlier than normal for me upon request, which I appreciated.Speaking of the staff, I must say, they're phenomenal! From the moment I checked in, they were friendly, answered all my questions, and helped me with anything I needed. You could tell that they really cared about customers having a good stay. To top it off, they even went above and beyond by finding a necklace that I had accidentally left behind prior to checking out, and mailing it to my city! I'm really thankful to the staff for this.I hope I can stay here again sooner than later! 🔥

Needed a room last minute in the area with a cooking space. I found this place with a kitchenette for a very reasonable price. The rooms are cute and rustic and there was a fire pit with complementary s'mores. We had a wonderful time there and will stay here again.

Rooms were clean and well appointed, and the location is fantastic for accessing the variety of activities in North Tahoe. But what really drives me to leave this review was the phenomenal customer service that persisted long after my stay. My child had left a stuffed animal in the bed that we had missed and we did not discover it missing until bedtime at home. The staff at Cedar Glen tracked down the missing stuffed animal and held it for us. They even went as far as to receive packaging from the local post office and sent the missing item home. I could not be more grateful! We will certainly be returning.

Celebrated a weekend away for my anniversary with my partner - it was wonderful! Highly recommend the honeymoon suite for: the privacy of having the entire cabin to yourselves, the jet tub, quaint & perfect size for 2, renovated & warm furniture/flooring, the cozy fireplace, and spacious fridge. Designated parking space was nice. Very quiet area right across from the beach! My only “complaint” is that the toaster was janky and the hot water ran out once (it re-filled/came back about an hour later so it wasn’t that big of a deal). I will happily return another time and I’ve already recommended this place to family.

It's a very rustic style motel. It was very clean and front desk person was helpful. We had a room that was fairly close to the road and unfortunately there was road construction literally going on all hours of the night, which really put a damper on our sleep. We would have appreciated knowing that ahead of 9PM! when my husband inquired and been given/offered a room further away. Also the AC wasn't cooling the room, it was heating it, so that wasn't ideal either. Pillows and bedding were equally rustic, but for the price it was fine for one night.

Cedar Glen Lodge was a great choice! I had seen the beautiful lodge for years being a past NLT resident and always wanted to go check it out. The rooms are very well appointed, mountain style and super comfortable.The view of course is fantastic and just a short walk to the lake.I very much enjoyed my stay!

I didn’t care for this extremely car dependent North Tahoe location. The lodge was fine, but the pool, the lack of play structures, the busy highway separating the lodge from the lake made it difficult for us to enjoy our stay with a toddler. Another part of visiting Tahoe is the congestion everywhere. We weren’t able to hike or go to the beach because we couldn’t secure parking without significant premeditation and planning. Another sticking point was lack of room service and questions about specific things that needed to be cleaned when we asked for one.

Excellent resort. We stayed one night here and wow the rooms are impressive as well as the resort. The picnic area is pristine and had a huge fire pit. Got to enjoy the pool and hot tub which was very clean. As for the rooms ours was outstanding. Has everything you need to feel at home along with a great view of the lake. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and they have great customer service. I would definitely come back here.

I am a wedding planner, and the couple that hired me asked to find a space for their group to all stay together! They didn't want a room block, because they felt it may reduce their intention of time spent together. The place we found was Cedar Glen Lodge. After touring other spots throughout the lake - this lodge was nearby to a beach, in town, an easy drive to get to all other actives, and offered additional amenities. Cedar Glen has plenty of space for groups, many amenities to keep their guests entertained, beautiful views, and is very clean. Not only is the space perfect for a group staying together, their staff is outstanding. When I arrived for the first tour, the GM took me, happily, throughout the entire property and provided me with plenty of details.. I left with no questions, and 100% comfort knowing that this space was perfect for the group. Another example of them going above and beyond was: we purchased breakfast for the day after their wedding. We delivered it to Cedar Glen kitchen space, and left it two days before the post wedding brunch. Our team planned to arrive and set-up breakfast that morning before guests arrived to enjoy it. When we arrived to set up the food, the Cedar Glen team had displayed their food for us beautifully, it looked like a professional display! All guests raved about the rooms, and their stay. Zero complaints, and will definitely suggest them again!

Great place to stay. Rooms are tidy and cozy and the location is great. About 5 mins driving from the busy area of the beach. It was nice and quiet. Guests are offered cold water during the day and coffee in the morning. Shawn was extremely nice and helped me with some last minute modifications to my stay. My recent stay at Cedar Glen Lodge was truly the best trip I've ever had! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room, which was spotless and offered a stunning view of the surrounding nature. The tranquility of the lodge made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.The amenities at Cedar Glen Lodge were top-notch. The pool and hot tub were absolutely fantastic, providing the perfect way to unwind and relax. Additionally, the lodge offers a variety of activities, including golf and volleyball, which made the stay even more enjoyable.One of the highlights of my trip was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring that all my needs were met. I must give a special mention to a wonderful gentleman who works both in maintenance and at the front desk. Although I didn't catch his name, I remember he wore black glasses and his service was simply outstanding. He was sweet, kind, and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.Overall, Cedar Glen Lodge exceeded all my expectations, and I can't wait to return. Cedar Glen is perfect. The cabins are quaint, cozy and clean. We really enjoyed coming back after a long hike and relaxing in the room and using the hot tub or sauna. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming! Really can’t say enough good things about this place! Location is great as well, very quick drive to Tahoe City or Truckee. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for 3 nights here recently. The entire lodge is comfortable, clean and modern. The staff were super friendly and made you feel right at home. The breakfast was substantial and the coffee facilities are there all day in reception to use. Location is fantastic, spa and pool clean and warm. Room very warm, great view over Lake Tahoe, bed was comfortable, great amenities.If we ever come back to Tahoe this is where we would be staying. Cannot fault Cedar Glen Lodge in any way.

Our family of 11, ranging in age from 5 to 75, had an amazing stay at Cedar Glen Lodge this past June. Alan, Martha, and Franco could not have been more lovely or helpful. Our four cabins were spotless and supremely comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Our beach day was made easy with the beach chairs, beach towels, coolers with ice, and tubes provided by the lodge. Nightly campfires and s'mores (provided by the lodge) were enjoyed by all. Franco happily and helpfully prepared the charcoal grills for our family birthday celebration at the lovely picnic area. The children couldn't get enough of the beautiful pool. Every detail during our 4-night stay was family-friendly and perfect! I could not recommend Cedar Glen Lodge more highly and I can't wait to go back one day. Bravo!

My GF and I stayed at Cedar Glen Lodge at the end of May. It was our first trip to Lake Tahoe. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the amenities here, but I'll try. The location is beautiful, just across the street from the lake, and a bit higher, so your view of the lake is amazing. Sipping coffee in the AM with the lake and mountains visible through the trees...fantastic. The room (rooms, really) we'd rented were spotless, really nicely decorated, and felt like home immediately. We had a kitchen, so we were able to do a little shopping and stock up for a few home cooked meals. The entire stay here was perfect. The managers down at the front desk were super-friendly, and really helpful in pointing us to a few places to dine out. Their choices were excellent! Great fireplace and game room in the front lodge, so we enjoyed some Scrabble by the fire one cold afternoon. This was our first Tahoe trip but not our last, and we will definitely be returning to Cedar Glen Lodge.

What an awesome floor level lodging this place has! Within walking distance of the beach to Lake Tahoe and water so clear and so blue, you'd swear it's been colored. In addition to the condos, it has an outdoor grill and picnic area. They also host an upscale restaurant. Within driving distance of the lodge, is a downtown area that you can spend hours walking around to visit shops and places to eat. Awesome vacation stay and would definitely stay here again.
