Virtually steps from Cedar Glen Lodge, you can spend a day in the North Tahoe Regional Park. This is a great place to enjoy hiking, cross country skiing or the nature par course. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout the park and trails. They also offer an enclosed area for off leash play.
For those who would like to take Yoga to the next level, Tahoe Vista is also the home of the Tahoe Flow Arts Studio. Using Aerial Fabrics or hoops, guest can learn the basics of climbing and winding their way into a beautiful and artistic form of exercise.
If you prefer a climbing wall, Tai Chi or indoor yoga with chiropractic and acupuncture services, we are also located near the Lake Tahoe Wellness Center.

North Tahoe Regional Park, 6600 Donner Road, Tahoe Vista, CA
The North Tahoe Regional Park is located off National Avenue just a short drive from Cedar Glen Lodge. This lovely park spans 124 acres and offers captivating lake views and a variety of year-round recreation activities for visitors of all ages. They allow dogs on leashes throughout the park and on the trails that climb into the mountain surrounding the park. They also have an enclosure for unleashed dogs.
Before the snow falls, you can enjoy hiking on the many nature trails complete with a par course and zip lines. During winter, the mountain trails that surround the park become the perfect place for cross country skiing.
The Fitness Par Course consists of stations set strategically throughout the forest with places to do sit ups, pull ups, balance walks and push ups. Each station suggests the par for ultimate fitness.
The Treetop Adventure course consists of 70 tree platforms, connected by a variety of bridges and/or ziplines. Every participant wears a climbing harness and is connected to a safety cable at all times. This is a great way to experience the Tahoe forest, and offers courses for all levels, from beginner to advanced. The course is open rain, snow or shine!
The Treetop course is typically open daily through Thanksgiving weekend. The remainder of the winter, 3-4 sessions are held each day on the weekends. The only exception is the week between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays during which time the course is open daily.
The Park also boasts a Disc Golf Course located in the upper area of the park. This 18 hole Disc Golf Course is a great place to compete with friends as you wind through the lower level forests.
Lake Tahoe Wellness Center, 695 Wolf Street, Kings Beach, CA
The Lake Tahoe Wellness Center provides a beautiful space for yoga, tai chi, meditation, a climbing wall and chiropractic/acupuncture services.
Unlike conventional medicine (which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs), they emphasize improving your health by being proactive, rather than reactive. They offer many wellness classes, workshops, pilates, massage services and also sell health and wellness remedies.
The center is conveniently located on the corner of Speckled and Wolf in the community of Kings Beach.
