Our common area has picnic tables and for the barbecues, we supply everything but the food.
Here is a list of some summer attractions and events that are all conveniently located to Cedar Glen Lodge!
Beginning June 28, Kings Beach offers a free concert series every Friday (excluding August 9) with Music On The Beach at the Kings Beach Recreation Area. Enjoy a night of music and dancing and sample some local craft beers and offerings from the many food vendors.
Within walking distance of Cedar Glen Lodge is the Tahoe Adventure Company. Kayaks and paddle-boards are available for rent and they also offer guided tours such as Sunset Kayaking every Friday and full moon kayaking tours. They also offer many land adventures such as mountain bike tours, hiking and rock climbing.
While there are a couple of sandy beaches within walking distance, Sand Harbor State Park is an absolutely stunning beach 12 miles east of Cedar Glen Lodge. They have a very large white, sandy beach and you can also rent kayaks and paddle-boards and explore the pristine waters and stunning rock formations. The beach can get very crowded so leave early or park in Incline Village and take their shuttle to and from Sand Harbor.
Every Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm, there is the Tahoe City Farmer’s Market at Commons Beach. Just 8 miles from Cedar Glen Lodge, the outdoor market has a variety of options that will satisfy the vegetarian, carnivore and those with a sweet tooth.
Invited musicians from around the world will be performing from Jul 7 through August 11 at the Classical Tahoe Festival. The events will be held on the campus of Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village.
The Tahoe Gal offers daily cruises to Emerald Bay and along the North and West shores of Lake Tahoe. Lunch, Sunset, Cocktail and Brunch cruises depart from Tahoe City on the 120-passenger paddle wheeler.
